About

When you are looking for a dentist, you definitely want the best. At Smile Suite, we are confident that our vast experience, high standards, and the quality of care we provide make us the ultimate choice.

Kids Always Leave With A Smile

What Makes Us Different

Our approach to pediatric dental care is simple. We want kids to smile! And that doesn’t just mean that we want their teeth to be healthy. Obviously, healthy teeth are critical for kids! But so is a positive dental experience.

Why? When kids have a bad time at the dentist, this can affect their dental hygiene and their future ability or desire to get oral care. In turn, this can lead to oral health issues as they grow and develop.

That’s why Smile Suite offers a fun environment, patient and gentle care, and sedation for kids who need it. From kids who love dental visits to children who need a little more care and encouragement, we’ll make their visit a positive experience.

Board-Certified Pediatric Dentist

The patient's choice of a dentist has to be based upon reputation and trust. Your confidence is truly important to me and I thank you for the opportunity that lets me help address your child's dental needs and expectations.

Having two kids of my own, I know and understand the significance of establishing positive, child-focused dental experiences right from the start. Many of us grew up dreading dental visits. Hence, I wanted to change that for the patients I treat every day by creating something completely different. I want children to look forward to their dental visits and to grow up taking an active role in establishing healthy habits that will promote a lifetime of healthy, happy smiles.

I absolutely love what I do! I can't imagine doing anything else. My son, David, calls me a "daddy dentist." Building relationships with my patients and their families, watching them grow, and seeing how their personalities and smiles unfold over time is what I enjoy most.

I am board certified by the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry and am a standing member of AAPD (American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry), the NJDA, NJDPA, and the ADA.I am also an attending doctor at St. Joseph Children's Hospital where I teach the Pediatric Dentistry program by passing my knowledge and experience to dental residents.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family, hiking, bicycling, and travel. I am proud to have been VOTED KID'S FAVORITE DENTIST by NJ Family.

Keeping Your Kids Smiling

My name is Dr. George Hishmeh, and most call me "Dr. George." I was born and raised in Paramus, New Jersey, where I continue to reside today. As a youngster, I always had an interest in health and wellness, which later got me into the field of dentistry. Following my high school graduation, I relocated to Hamden, Connecticut, where I went to Quinnipiac University for my degree in Health Sciences.

During this period, after joining various dental clubs, I sensed that I found my destiny and my true why. I felt both inspired and determined to become a dentist by choosing a career path in oral health. After completing my BS degree in Health Sciences, I had the opportunity to be accepted into the Touro College of Dental Medicine program at New York Medical College, from which I graduated with my D.D.S. degree.

While studying, I was able to develop my skills further and go deeper into the complexity of dentistry. Avid to develop further knowledge, I then submitted and got accepted to the General Practice Residency Program in Jacobi Medical Center, the Bronx—one of the highly reputable programs in New York State. That residence provided diversity within its patient base; a percentage consisted of children; also, some parts within the hospital network gave hands-on rotation within specialties of your interest. Working here had especially allowed the idea of pediatric dentistry. I found this area of practice so rewarding and thus very motivating to pursue the specialty.

Given my passion for pediatric dentistry, I continued at Jacobi Medical Center to complete an additional two years of advanced training in pediatric dentistry, wherein one learns specific knowledge and practices for young patients. This solidified my decision to become a pediatric dentist, a choice from which I never looked back.

Today, working as a pediatric dentist, I can attest with 100% certainty that it has been the best decision I ever made. There is no greater reward for me than seeing an anxious child leave the office smiling and excited about the next visit. I enjoy working and creating a fun atmosphere for the children by earning their trust through an immense amount of positive reinforcement, giving them small prizes to reinforce bravery and cooperation.

Outside the office, I prefer to spend quality time with my family and friends. I believe a healthy work-life balance is what one needs for personal and professional development. I value my leisure time, be it spent on peaceful weekends or exploring new things with my loved ones. In all sincerity, it is a blessing to do what I love the most, to be a part of my community, and to feel appreciated by children and families.
